Las Vegas’ airport getting new security procedures

Las Vegas’ airport is getting new security procedures.

TSA’s new process at McCarran airport is supposed to process travelers a little more quickly through Terminal 3.

Three security lanes will be equipped with upgraded features.

The features include bins that are 25 percent larger and capable of holding roll-aboard luggage.

Each bin is equipped with radio-frequency chips.

The new system automatically returns bins to the front so TSA officers don’t have to manually collect them.

The new system has been in testing for roughly two weeks.

McCarran will be the sixth airport to implement the system.
