The week in local motor sports

Sunday’s NASCAR race at Chicagoland Speedway produced a thrilling finish. Las Vegas’ Kyle Busch held off Kyle Larson as the two banged into each other twice on the final lap. It was a fantastic finish on an intermediate 1.5-mile track — the kind of tracks that traditionally do produce abundant drama. Elsewhere, Stewart-Haas Racing said it expects all four of its drivers — including Las Vegan Kurt Busch — will return in 2018. Dustin Ash won a 76-lap main event at the Night of Fire at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
