Scooter rider seriously hurt in Wednesday night crash

A scooter rider suffered substantial injuries after a crash with a vehicle Wednesday night in the west valley, Las Vegas police said. Medics and police were called to the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Sahara Avenue about 7 p.m. after the collision, Metro Lt. Joel Martin said.
