Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a job fair March 1 to hire about 330 seasonal and part-time workers, the city announced Monday.
The job fair will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Dr. The fair is for individuals ages 16 and up, but some jobs have a minimum age requirement of 18. Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and be prepared for an on-site interview. Computers will be available for applicants to complete and submit applications online. Applicants under the age of 18 must have a parent present to sign the appropriate paperwork.
The city’s part-time and seasonal positions include food service assistants, lifeguards, recreation assistants and team leads. Duties many include assisting with youth summer camps, providing customer service at recreation center front desks, working in the kitchen at Heritage Park Senior Facility, driving Meals On Wheels trucks, and serving as lifeguards at the city’s pools.
Individuals interested in lifeguarding opportunities who have yet to earn their certifications will be provided with information about the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training program, which is hosted at the city’s pools on a variety of dates and times.
