Falcons flying high

Air Force got just one win in the regular season, but has grabbed a 32-21 lead over Wyoming at halftime of the opening round game at the Mountain West Conference men’s basketball tournament.
Grant Parker has seven points and Evan Washington six to lead a balanced scoring attack.
Desmar Jackson and Adam Waddell each have eight points for the Cowboys, but that is about the extent of their scoring.
Wyoming got zero points from its bench and does not have a fast-break or second-chance point in the game.
The Cowboys turned the ball over four times in the first four minutes and Air Force has nine points off of seven turnovers in the half.
Amath M’Baye picked up three fouls for Wyoming in just five minutes of action.

Fan support

Wyoming had down years on both the men’s and women’s side this year, you have to give its fans some credit.
They have always traveled in large numbers to support the Cowboys and Cowgirls.
Today is no exception as several sections are filled with people looking to cheer on Wyoming--and escape Laramie.
There is even a man that appears to be wearing nothing more than a Wyoming-painted barrel and suspenders. It’s a clear ripoff of the famous Denver Broncos fan, but it still shows some dedication.
The barrel is not the only interesting getup among the Cowboys supporters.
There is a man in a wheelchair that looks to be wearing a Wyoming Snuggie. It’s really not even that cold in here, but hey, as David Puddy said on Seinfeld, “You gotta support the team.”
