Allegations could spell trouble for Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be back in legal trouble after a beef with rapper T.I. turned into a brawl at a Fatburger on the Las Vegas Strip about 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to reports, the reigning and unbeaten WBC welterweight champion was in Fatburger’s lounge, known as Fat Bar, when T.I. approached him. Words were exchanged, and a wild chair-throwing melee erupted in the bar, one of Mayweather’s favorite hangouts.

A security guard was treated and released after suffering a cut, owner Darin Feinstein said. Feinstein called it “an unfortunate incident involving some pre-existing issues.”

Mayweather spent two months of a three-month term in the Clark County Detention Center in summer 2012, incarcerated on a misdemeanor domestic battery case.

His sentence included one year of probation that would have expired in August.

Hours before the dustup with T.I., Mayweather had a birthday party for his daughter Ilyanna in the MGM Grand ballrooms.

Mayweather told celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie on Sunday that he went to Fatburger after his daughter’s party.

“I’m eating at Fatburger, and next thing you know he (T.I.) walk in talking about we need to talk again,” Mayweather said. “And then I told him, ‘You need to get the (expletive) out of my face. That’s what you better do.’ And then he said, ‘I ain’t talking to all these people so you ain’t gotta talk loud.’ I said, ‘Listen, don’t come to my face with no disrespectful (expletive). Like I told you before. You must’ve forgot what I do for a living.’

“He said, ‘You do in the ring, I do it in the streets.’ I said, ‘My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to. Just like that.’ ”

After the incident, he was seen leaving the scene in a new white Bugatti worth $3 million.

T.I. reportedly had a recent conversation in New York with Mayweather about the nature of the boxer’s relationship with T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle. She had attended Mayweather’s post-fight party after his May 3 defeat of Marcos Maidana and posted a photo of her and other women with Mayweather.

Cottle also posted a photo Saturday night with Mayweather’s daughter.

Video taken at Fat Bar caught Mayweather telling T.I. to “control your bitch,” and the fight was on.

Mayweather, in the Sunday interview, said he has “never kissed (Cottle) never touched her in no inappropriate way.”

It is not clear whether Mayweather’s daughter was with her father when the brawl took place.

Singer Nicki Minaj posted an Instagram photo about 11 p.m. that showed Ilyanna and Minaj together, at what appeared to be a birthday celebration.
