Democrats don't really want tax 'reform'

As regular readers of The Complete Las Vegan know, I've been a critic of the modern Democratic rhetoric on tax reform that refers only to "the rich" and doesn't have anything to say about the almost 50 percent of Americans who pay nothing in income tax.

Last Sunday's newspaper column was the latest example, which you can reread here.

Yesterday, Fox News host Neil Cavuto picked up the theme in a discussion with Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C. Take a moment to click here and find the Clyburn interview. View it and see a perfect example of intellectual dishonesty of Democrats when it comes to tax "reform" and "fairness." What Democrats advocate is anything but fair. It's class warfare.

I have no problem being a voice in the wilderness on such topics. But it is nice to know I am not the only one.

P.S. There is much to admire about Rep. Clyburn. His position on taxes, however, is not one of them. More's the pity.
