When it comes to political advertising, we're all numb from the vicious mud slinging. But every now and again, an ad comes along that shows us just how good political advertising can be.
Take a look at this ad from Carl Sciortino, a young gay liberal running for Congress in Massachusetts. There's a genius in this play between Sciortino and his Tea Party father.
Of course, I found myself identifying with the father more than the son (shocker, I know). But that's not the point. The point of this ad is to offer up the idea that a son and his father, despite political differences can still lovingly disagree.
That's pretty darn cool. I hope it catches on.
