Gay marriage ruling resonates

Since a federal judge struck down California's Proposition 8 ban on gay marriage, expect everything gay to be suddenly exalted as a celebration.

Over at the Rio's club Crown, Sunday's "Roller Boogie Night" is being rebilled from "Gay Skate on 8/8" to anti-''Prop 8 Skate."

PRE-SIGHTINGS

Nightclubs and pool parties have smaller-named celebrities than usual on their marquees this weekend. Hip-hopper Amerie (who just changed her name from Ameriie with two I's) will perform "1 Thing" at club Pure on Saturday, while DJ Marshall Barnes spins there. ... Ashley Greene (who plays Alice in "Twilight") hangs out at Wet Republic pool club on Saturday. ... Rapper Kid Sister (one hit, "Pro Nails") walks a red carpet at 2 p.m. Sunday in front of club Tao then goes to Tao Beach. ... Iyaz (one hit, "Replay") performs Saturday at club Haze. ... Jill Zarin of the "Real Housewives of New York City" is headed for a 10-year anniversary dinner Saturday at Union. ... Craig Robinson from "Pineapple Express" has reservations around CityCenter. ... Jabbawockeez and the Gamblerz host the Ultimate B-boy Championships after-party at Studio 54 Saturday. ... And Miss Nevada Christina Keegan walks an 11 p.m. red carpet today at Rio's club Crown, after a 9 p.m. show by the Spazmatics. ... Speaking of club Crown, the venue hosts a UFC viewing party for $20, as will other places around the city, including strip club Sapphire, although if you go to Sapphire, take a ton of $1 bills.

AMERICAN IDOL ODDS

Vegas odds are in on who will be the next "American Idol" judges, according to Wynn odds man Johnny Avello. Some highlights:

Steven Tyler: 7 to 5.

Randy Jackson: 5 to 2.

Jennifer Lopez: 3 to 1.

Kara Dioguardi: 15 to 1.

Jessica Simpson: 18 to 1.

Harry Connick Jr.: 20 to 1.

Courtney Love: 30 to 1.

Usher: 45 to 1.

Bret Michaels: 50 to 1.

Sharon Osbourne: 175 to 1.

Howard Stern: 1,000 to 1.

But you can't lay down cash on those odds. They're for entertainment only, no betting.

BEAMING UP

And nerds, don't forget to go to the "Star Trek" convention today-Sunday. I list the highlights, including an auction of Spock's ears, in today's Neon section.
