Food and drink
Help the hungry by drinking as much champagne as you can afford Monday. Tao Lounge in The Venetian is hosting Bubbles & Buddhas from 5 to 8 p.m. During that time, 50 percent of all champagne sales will be donated to Three Square Food Bank. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served, too. The fundraiser is to help kick off Restaurant Week, a partnership between fine dining restaurants and the food bank. Several Strip restaurants are participating this fall. Usually, they offer prix fixe menus or dining specials which allow people to eat in some high-priced restaurants at a reduced rate. Tao Asian Bistro and Lavo Italian restaurant are offering three-course menus for $50.12. The fundraiser ends Sept. 2. For a full list of participating restaurants, visit helpoutdineoutlv.org.
