Tuscany celebrating five-year anniversary

The Tuscany will be five years old on Jan. 17, and the casino is running various promotions all month long, including special bonus point days (see below) and The Royal Winners Anniversary Game on Thursdays and Fridays. On those days, players can earn special tickets, and at 8 p.m., 10 winners will be chosen to select five out of 20 cards. Those getting a royal flush will win $10,000, and all winners will receive at least $500.

Players earning just one point Saturday at the Cannery from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. will receive a free gift. There is a limit of one gift per person.

Throughout January, all El Cortez slot players hitting a $200-plus slot jackpot or a $300-plus video poker jackpot can pick up a wallet containing from $10 to $1,000 in free slot play. In lieu of the wallet, players can pick up a $10 gift cards good at a variety of gasoline, gift and grocery outlets. All jackpot winners also receive an entry into the casino's Saturday night HDTV/$2,000 cash drawing.

The Golden Gate is offering all new 1906 Club members a free (and quite attractive) 2008 Golden Gate Calendar. All members earning 1,000 points (exact coin-in varies; no point redemption necessary) in a day will receive a diner meal comp or an NFL logo T-shirt.

All South Point players hitting a royal flush in January can pick up a South Point logo jacket, available in a variety of sizes while supplies last. You also can win a jacket by hitting seven-out-of-seven at video keno, a 1,000-coin jackpot on quarter and above slots, a 5,000-coin jackpot on 5-cent or 10-cent slots, or a 10,000-coin jackpot on 1-cent or 2-cent slots.

Every Wednesday and Friday through Jan. 25, Arizona Charlie's Boulder and Arizona Charlie's Decatur will give away seven $500 or $1,000 cash prizes. A.C.E.
