Located just minutes from the Strip, The Palms opened Nov. 15, 2001.

Rooms: 447 including suites. Two special suites include the "Real World" suite and the "Hardwood" Suite. The "Real World" suite, which was home to MTV's "Real World" cast and crew in 2002, features three bedrooms, a communal bathroom, a full, working kitchen, and a bar. The "Hardwood" suite is a two-level, 10,000 sq. foot mega suite complete with mad plasma screens, locer rooms, your own personalized jerseys, a basketball court with your name written on it, a pool table, a 10-person jacuzzi, and a pool table. The "Play Pens" are two luxury suites specifically designed for private bachelor or bachelorette parties featuring a retro '60s color pattern, a dancer pole and dance floor, and plasma screens.

In-room Amenities: hair dryer, iron/ironing boards, coffeemaker, safe, refreshment center, dual-line telephone, dataports, on-TV Internet access, complimentary newspaper, bath products. Junior suites also have writing desk and bathrobes; grand suites includes Jacuzzi tub, parlor, equipped wet bar, turn-down service.

Casino: race & sports book, table games, keno, poker, slot machines and video poker

Dining: Little Buddha, Garduno's, Alize, N9NE -- The Steakhouse, Sunrise, Festival Market Buffet

Entertainment: Rain in the Desert (1,200 seats), concerts, entertainment; ghostbar, Island Bar, Palapa Lounge, all with live entertainment

Nightclubs: Rain in the Desert, Skin (by the pool, summer)

Attractions: 14-screen movie theater, Kids Quest, arcade

Hotel amenities: outdoor pool, spa and salon

Parking: free self-park garage and lot; free valet service (tip attendanct)
