Exclusive boutiques line Wynn Esplanade

High-end shopping has become a Las Vegas staple, and Wynn Las Vegas will add to the mix starting Thursday.

With 76,290 square feet of retail space and 31 stores, the resort's shopping offerings are more of the boutique variety with an upscale flair.

Even the name of the shopping area, the Wynn Esplanade -- a term that connotes a raised walkway with a European flair -- has an upscale sounding name.

World-famous women's clothing designer Oscar de la Renta, who has stores in New York City and Miami, will place his third U.S. store at Wynn.

Manolo Blahnik, a designer of women's shoes who has a store in New York, will open only his second U.S. location at Wynn.

Other retailers who will have shops at Wynn Las Vegas include Cartier, Chanel, Brioni, Christian Dior, Anne Geddes, John Paul Gaultier, Judith Lieber, Graff, Louis Vuitton and Jo Malone.

Shoppers also can find accessories such as watches, jewelry, pens and other writing materials and various specialty items, all with a price tag that's a little more expensive than Wal-Mart.

"The retail at Wynn Las Vegas is of a high end with exclusive brand-name retailers," said Wynn Resorts spokeswoman Denise Randazzo.

In conjunction with the Wynn Las Vegas golf course, the resort will operate a pro shop near the golf course entrance that will sell men's and women's golfing apparel carrying the Wynn Las Vegas logo. Other Wynn Las Vegas logo items will be available.

In addition to the traditional retail offerings, guests at Wynn Las Vegas can shop for something different: a high-priced Ferrari or Maserati sports car.

Wynn Las Vegas has set aside a 10,000-square-foot showroom that will hold more than 50 used or new Ferraris and Maseratis near the resort's main entrance.

The Wynn Las Vegas location is a joint venture between Wynn Resorts and United Auto Group, the second-largest publicly traded automotive retailer in the United States. UAG is led by racing legend Roger Penske.

The dealership also will house several maintenance bays for customers to have their Ferraris or Maseratis serviced, and hotel guests also can lease the exotic cars during their stay.

An Italian-themed restaurant, Corsa Cucina from Chef Stephen Kalt has been located next to the dealership.
