95 northbound shut down after ice cream truck rollover

A portion of U.S. Highway 95 northbound lanes were closed Sunday morning because they were at risk of becoming slick with ice cream.

According to a Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman, a truck hauling ice cream rolled over near the Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino around 8 a.m. No other vehicles were involved. The cause of the rollover is unknown at this time.

Northbound lanes were closed while the ice cream was transferred to another truck. NHP expects the lanes to be reopened by 11:15 a.m.
