Apartment fire causes $500,000 in damage, displaces 9 people

A building fire displaced nine people and caused about $500,000 in damage early Thursday, Clark County firefighters said.

Firefighters responded about 1:50 a.m. to a blaze at the Century Village Apartments located at 4801 Spencer St., near Tropicana Avenue, officials said.

No one was injured, however, seven adults and two children were displaced, firefighters said. The American Red Cross was providing aid for the displaced occupants.

The fire caused about $500,000 in damage to four apartments in the 16-unit building.

Las Vegas firefighters helped extinguish the fire.
