An elementary school was locked down Monday after a barricade situation in southwest Las Vegas.
Las Vegas police responded to a home in the 3900 block of Pamplona Street, near Flamingo Road and Rainbow Boulevard, about 11:20 a.m. after a man threatened to harm himself during an eviction, police said.
The neighborhood was evacuated and Decker Elementary School was locked down while SWAT and negotiation teams talked to the man, police said.
A constable official who conducted the initial check told police that the man is armed.
