Coroner ID's man who killed himself at Wal-Mart

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the man who shot and killed himself at the Wal-Mart Supercenter near Nellis Air Force Base on Saturday morning.

Karl Joseph Tresemer, 35, of Medford, Ore., shot himself in the head with his own gun in the sporting goods section of the store located at 4350 N. Nellis Blvd. near Las Vegas Boulevard about 6:15 a.m., Las Vegas police said.

He had walked around the store for a few minutes, but did not threaten or pointed his gun at anybody prior to killing himself, according to police.

The manner of death was ruled a suicide by the coroner’s office.
