A Las Vegas woman found dead in her home Friday was probably killed the day before after walking in and surprising two burglars who stole her car and wallet, according to Las Vegas homicide detectives.
Katherine Cole, 68, was last seen at about 5 p.m. Thursday leaving a local casino where she worked.
Police discovered her body inside her central valley residence in the 3500 block of Casa Grande Avenue near Oakey and Valley View boulevards.
She died of unknown injuries, according to police.
Police obtained store surveillance video of two men who have used her credit and debit cards. Police described them as being Latino.
One of the men is between 30 and 35 years old and between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. The video depiction shows him wearing a blue or gray jacket, light blue baseball cap, black sweat pants and white athletic shoes.
The other suspect is between 30 and 40 years old and between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall. On the video, he is wearing a short-sleeve shirt with horizontal stripes and white pants and shoes. They were driving a red sedan of unknown make and model, according to police
Cole's car is a white, four-door 2000 Acura bearing Nevada license plates 805-MSN.
