Four juveniles face arson charges


Four juveniles were arrested after a vacant house fire Tuesday afternoon, according to the North Las Vegas Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 5706 Oasis Ridge St., near Commerce Street and Ann Road, just after 3 p.m. after receiving calls from neighbors, Capt. Cedric Williams said.

A witness saw the juveniles, two 12-year-olds and two 13-year-olds, go into the vacant home, Williams said. The witness’s husband went to the house to check it, saw the fire inside and then detained the juveniles until fire investigators arrived and arrested them.

No injuries were reported from the fire. The juveniles face burglary and arson charges, Williams said. Damage to the home was estimated at $20,000.
