HENDERSON SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR HOLIDAY DECORATING CONTEST

Henderson’s 2013 annual Outdoor Holiday Decorating Contest is slated to run Nov. 1-Dec. 9.

This year’s theme is “holiday traditions in the desert.”

Entry deadline is Dec. 2 and is limited to the first 50 applicants.

CITY HONORS COMPANY FOR RECYCLING PROGRAM

The city of Henderson recently recognized local company Tronox as a valued community partner at a Sept. 17 City Council meeting.

The business was honored because of its plantwide recycling project and waste water recovery program.

GARDEN CLUB TO DISCUSS BUGS

The Sunset Garden Club is scheduled to meet at noon Nov. 12 at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Presented by Master Gardener Bill Hodson, the program is called “Good Bugs, Bad Bugs.”
