Fire at possible marijuana grow house

A house that caught fire Tuesday night near Windmill Lane and Jones Boulevard might have been a marijuana grow house, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Neighbors reported a structure fire at 5332 Isabel Cove Court around 9 p.m. The fire was located in an upstairs bedroom, and firefighters controlled it within 15 minutes.

Fire officials discovered wires and lights throughout the second floor of the house indicating it might have been used to grow marijuana.

The fire caused $100,000 worth of damage. No one was home at the time of the incident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
