A semitrailer caught fire Wednesday morning on southbound Interstate 15 north of Sahara Avenue, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

It has been moved to the right shoulder, and the right lane is closed.

No injuries were reported.

An NHP officer on a motorcycle en route to the fire was involved in a minor traffic accident. NHP trooper Jeremie Elliot said the officer is OK, but has been transported to University Medical Center.
