Woody's not just an illusion at Aria

Woody Harrelson and "friends" had heads turning at Aria on Tuesday during a series of on-location shoots for the film "Now You See Me."

Joining Harrelson in the casino and Sky Villa scenes were Jesse Eisenberg, Aussie beauty Isla Fisher and Dave Franco, a younger brother of James Franco.

Some scenes were shot at Aria's valet area during the morning shoot.

A flurry of filming has been taking place. On Monday, more than 100 people were involved in the shoot amid the iconic signs at the Neon Boneyard. Earlier Monday, Michael Caine was in some scenes outside the Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse.

The historic Golden Gate hotel on Fremont Street was turned into a set Tuesday afternoon.

Fun tidbit: David Copperfield, who knows more than a little about illusions, was hanging out around the set talking to some of the production folks. They reportedly met after Copperfield's show Monday.

The movie is about a group of illusionists who pull off bank heists as Mark Ruffalo's character, an FBI agent, tries to crack the case.

Directing the thriller is French-born Louis Leterrier, who helmed "The Transporter" movies, "The Incredible Hulk" and "Clash of the Titans."

During a recent two-month shoot in New Orleans, sets were built to resemble a fight scene at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The movie also takes place in Paris and New York.

Caine has a personal connection with Las Vegas. He will celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary next year with wife Shakira. They married Jan. 8, 1973, in Las Vegas.

AN EASTER MOMENT

Alicia Malone, a former PR staff member with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority who moved to Washington, D.C., a few months ago, added some important names to her networking resume over the weekend.

It was a whopper of a chance meeting. Malone, now with the Washington convention bureau, shared the details Sunday on Facebook.

"Today is a very special Easter indeed," she wrote. "I had church with the Obamas. In fact the whole family sat in the pew next to me and when it was time to share the peace President Obama turned to me, shook my hand and said 'Happy Easter! Peace be with you.'

"Then we shared communion. Such a Forrest Gump moment -- in the right place at the right time!"
