Mob Museum hosting discussion on firearm background checks ballot initiative

The Mob Museum is hosting a town hall-style discussion on Question 1, a ballot initiative proposing to expand firearm background checks to private-party sales and transfers, on Sept. 29.

Speakers for the event, at 7 p.m. at the Mob Museum, 300 Stewart Ave., include representatives from campaigns on both sides of the issues, local politicians and a UNLV criminologist.

Admission is free for Nevada residents, but the museum asked that you reserve a space. For more information, call 702-229-2734 or visit themobmuseum.org
