Las Vegas-based Prudential Americana Group ranked 26th in transactions and 39th largest real estate brokerage based on sales volume in Denver-based real estate research company Real Trends’ annual list of the top 500 U.S. real estate companies.

The Southern Nevada region is producing nearly 4,000 residential real estate transactions per month and this number has remained the regional standard for most of this year, according to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. Most industry professionals expect this number to linger well into 2014 long as interest rates remain at record lows.

According to a May CNN Money article, nearly one-third of current and prospective homeowners surveyed by Zillow could not correctly answer basic questions about financing, with 34 percent not knowing the term “annual percentage rate” and 31 percent incorrectly believing that they are unable to obtain a mortgage with a less than 5 percent down payment.
