William Lyon's The Crossings features single-story homes

Since opening its models last month, hundreds of home shoppers have toured the single-story model homes behind the gated entrance of The Crossings -- William Lyon Homes' newest neighborhood in the northwestern valley.

"During our grand opening weekend celebration we had up to 80 groups of buyers visit our three new models and more have visited since," sales agent Charlotte Bell said. "Everyone who has visited has loved everything about The Crossings. Home shoppers like that The Crossings is a gated neighborhood of all single-story homes. They've also been impressed by our location in the northwestern valley with the Sheep Range mountains in the background.

"Each visitor has loved our floor plan designs and I have not heard a negative comment at all. I think that many people are looking for a gated neighborhood with large single-story homes on larger home sites. With single-story homes measuring to more than 3,000 square feet and a few home sites over a half-acre in size, I'm not surprised by the great initial response."

Three floor plans measuring from 2,652 to 3,068 square feet are available. The neighborhood is priced from $268,000.

"Buyers have been really impressed by the Plan One and how it is designed around an interior courtyard and how the kitchen opens up to a great room," Bell said. "With 2,652 square feet, three bedrooms and options for a fourth bedroom with third bath or a den, this home will meet the needs of many different buyers wanting a single-story home."

Also modeled at the neighborhood are the Plan Two and Plan Three designs. With 2,843 square feet, Plan Two offers four bedrooms and 2½ baths, while Plan Three features four bedrooms and 3½ baths; both include a courtyard entry and options for a den. An oversized "super bedroom" is available in Plan Two.

Each model home is highlighted by an open design concept as well as a gourmet island kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel cooktop and wall oven, and pantry. A three-car garage with paver-stone driveway is included.

The neighborhood is part of the builder's Any Way You Want It promotion. Through the program, buyers receive a credit of $20,000 with the purchase of select homes that can be used for upgrades, loan fees, rate buy-downs, price reduction and in any combination.

To visit The Crossings, take the northern Las Vegas Beltway to Jones Boulevard and head north. Travel past Horse Drive and follow the signs.

The model homes and sales office are open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, except Monday, when they open at noon.

Additionally, William Lyon Homes is offering the Any Way You Want It $20,000 incentive program for a limited time on select home purchases at The Fields and The Commons neighborhoods.

The Fields features two-story homes measuring from 2,210 to 2,723 square feet in the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. Priced from $207,000, homes offer as many as five bedrooms and three baths, and two-car garages. To visit, take the northern Las Vegas Beltway to Aliante Parkway and head north. Turn left on Elkhorn Road and the neighborhood is on the left.

The Commons offers three two-story designs that range from 2,254 to 2,727 square feet and are priced from $217,000. Oversized home sites as large as 14,000 square feet are available. To visit, take the northern Beltway to Decatur Boulevard, head north toward Grand Teton Drive and follow the signs.
