Carter again powers Sidewinders past 51s

Chris Carter and Jamie D'Antona drove in two runs apiece Saturday night to lead the Tucson Sidewinders to a 4-2 victory over the 51s in a Pacific Coast League game in Tucson, Ariz.
Carter's RBI double in the fifth inning tied the score at 2, and D'Antona followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in what proved to be the winning run for the Sidewinders (47-41).
Carter hit his ninth homer of the season, and second in as many nights, in the eighth.
Choo Freeman's sixth homer of the season, a two-run shot, put Las Vegas (38-51) up 2-1 in the top of the fifth.
Wilson Valdez had a double and a single for the 51s, who lost their fourth straight.
Enrique Gonzalez (5-7) held Las Vegas to three hits and two runs in seven innings. William Juarez (4-4) lost after giving up three runs in seven innings.
The teams complete their five-game series with a game at 6 p.m. today in Tucson.
