■ WINNING/LOSING PITCHER: Redbirds, Nick Additon (8-6); 51s, Giancarlo Alvarado (4-2)

■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Memphis, Tenn., Nick Additon pitched six shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk, as the Redbirds earned a split of the four-game series with the 51s. Additon struck out five. ... Memphis (57-61) managed one run in five innings off Giancarlo Alvarado before the 51s’ bullpen surrendered four runs on two hits and four walks in the sixth. Mike O’Neill had an RBI single, Ryan Jackson drew a bases-loaded walk, and Kolten Wong hit a two-run single, all with two outs in the sixth. ... The 51s (62-54) narrowed the gap in the seventh on Francisco Pena’s second three-run home run in as many days, but two Redbirds relievers combined to retire the final eight Las Vegas hitters.
