TODAY AT HOLLYWOOD PARK

By Richard Eng

Post Time 1 p.m.

Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Malusita - Taking a huge class drop to face these tonight; like the rider switch to Joel Rosario, who won on her before.

Look to the Sky - Logical chalk off two sharp wins since claimed by Bill Morey; rising in class, strictly the one to beat.

Long Shot - Lucy Got Lucky

Race 2 - 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $41,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds

Shoo Gee - FTS from the white hot Walther Solis barn; like that Joel Rosario had options, chose to ride this filly.

Swiss Wild Cat - Logical chalk off a good second in debut; Mike Harrington has an uncoupled entry, caveat emptor.

Long Shot - Stealthy

Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Gray Zulu - Ran a winning race for this class in last; reunited with David Flores, the likely speed of the field.

Muqtabe - Ran some fast races last summer; main question if fitness in return from a 10-month hiatus.

Long Shot - Detroit Donnie

Race 4 - 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $34,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Majestic Diamond - Dead late closer returns from a 7-month hiatus; 7-YO returns on the class drop too, value at 6/1 odds.

Banner Lodge - Tepid chalk could be the speed of the speed from the rail; ran like a short horse in last.

Long Shot - Noblety

Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $43,000, Allowance, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Our Road Scholar - Ran great in stake first off the claim by A. C. Avila; similar try would crush these tonight.

Blame the Wine - Ran a stinker off the claim for the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; hires Joel Rosario, expect improvement.

Long Shot - Nine to Dine

Race 6 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Harmonius - Even test drive in a synthetic sprint; is bred to love turf and go long, major improvement at a square price.

Go Forth North - Logical choice just missed in last; Paddy Gallagher is snake bit at the meet going 0-for-17 so far.

Long Shot - First Settler

Race 7 - 1 1/16th miles, $150,000 Milady Handicap, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Dance to My Tune - Nice sub for Martin Garcia in Rafael Bejarano; found her hole card over synthetics and on the lead.

Third Dawn - Ground saving ride is to her advantage; key is for Joel Rosario to be patient and wait to make his move.

Long Shot - Made for Magic

Race 8 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $44,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Magic Launch - Could see a perfect race shape to close into; expect Joe Talamo to settle mid-pack and make one quick run.

My Maloof Rocker - Been away 7-months, but can be a dangerous foe; has back class, the main question will be her fitness.

Long Shot - Salty Sarah

Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,600, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up

Big Wags - Huge run in last to just miss; Rafael Bejarano takes over for the money shot.

Sonofablur - Martin Garcia for Bejarano who opted out to ride the race favorite; no early speed, will rally from the clouds.

Long Shot - Castaway Logic

Best Bet - Our Road Scholar (race 5)
