Killers’ Brandon Flowers honors UNLV championship team at March Madness concert

Shortly after UConn upset Florida, 63-55, TBS cut to the March Madness Music Festival, where Las Vegas-natives The Killers were performing.

It was just in time to see lead singer Brandon Flowers sporting a jacket in honor of UNLV’s 1989-1990 national championship team.

The red varsity jacket was topped with the words “never forget” and had the last names of key members of the team: Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony, Stacey Augmon, David Butler and Anderson Hunt.

UNLV beat Duke 103-73 in the 1990 championship game.
