UNLV student section unveils ‘Khem Kong’ — the largest prop in college basketball

Khem Kong, a 20-foot-wide re-creation of UNLV forward Khem Birch, was unveiled by The Rebellion Wednesday night during the UNLV-Utah State basketball game at the Thomas & Mack Center.

In the works since November, the large prop is the latest in a line of unusual art pieces created by Sean Clauretie for the student section.

Fans cheered as the monster Birch was unveiled. Unfortunately it did not distract the Utah State player at the foul line who made both shots.

The Rebels went on to win the game, 62-42.
