Wisdom flow yoga: Instructor Maria C. Rose varieties include hybrid teas, floribundas, shrubs, rugosas, damasks, noisettes and miniatures. The beds have engraved signage bearing the names of the roses, the varieties and the year of market introduction. The garden recently received a certificate of achievement in the Small Garden class during the national Sunshine ‘n Roses Pacific Southwest District’s annual convention. Artists sought: The city of Henderson is looking for professional, amateur and student artists to transform the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St., into a chalk art exhibit over Mother’s Day weekend. The display will be a part of Art Festival of Henderson, planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 7 and May 8. There is no cost to participate. Individuals may select between three different square sizes to develop their artwork.
