Storm system could leave a wet mark on the Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley may see some showers — or even a thunderstorm — on Monday, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday had a high temperature of 101 degrees, meteorologist John Salmen said.

Highs for the week are forecast to start off with a 95 degrees on Monday and 98 degrees on Tuesday, Salmen said.

There is a 40 percent chance for thunderstorms Monday, but the storm system should be on the way out by Tuesday with a 10 percent chance, the weather service said.

The high temperature is expected to reach 102 degrees on Wednesday before falling slightly to 101 degrees on Thursday, Salmen said.

Friday and Saturday are expected to see highs of 98 degrees, and Sunday will likely see a high of 99 degrees, he said.
