And inside Aria, panels of windows line the gaming area’s margins, while skylights punctuate the VIP salons with sunshine. Other key areas, including the buffet and several high-end restaurants, also bring sunlight into Aria.

Statewide gaming win continues decline

Visitor numbers in Las Vegas increased for the second straight month, but that wasn’t reflected in the revenues produced by casinos on the Strip and statewide. Nevada fell to its lowest single-month gaming revenue total in almost six years. Gaming revenues were $800.3 million, an 11.6 percent decline compared with $904.9 million reported in the same month a year ago.

(AP) — Tiger Woods said today he is taking an indefinite leave from golf to work on saving his marriage, using the word “infidelity” for the first time in a statement posted on his Web site. … “After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf,” Woods said. “I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.” … Woods and his wife, Elin, have been married five years and have a 2-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son. … The announcement came two weeks after a car accident that set in motion a shocking downfall for the world’s No. 1 player, which has included sordid allegations of numerous extramarital affairs.
