FISHING REPORT

LAKE MEAD — The trout bite has been good immediately following the Nevada Department of Wildlife weekly trout plants. Anglers have been catching trout off the docks at Hemenway and Boulder Harbor with PowerBait and catching a few stripers with shad.

‘Wizard of Rods’ saluted for influence on fishing

It’s always interesting to see people acknowledged for their hard work, especially when those efforts reach above and beyond the norm. I enjoy learning about these extraordinary people and discovering what it is that drives them to do whatever it is they do. And when the person being recognized is someone you know, that learning process takes on a whole new meaning.

Clean, green future not hard to imagine

I was pleased by a recent report detailing the substantial rise in property values in certain neighborhoods that are now the most desirable in the Las Vegas Valley. It was not completely unexpected.
