Rebels won’t rush Jasper into action

After he hit the floor late in Thursday’s practice, UNLV junior Derrick Jasper had to be helped up. It was deja vu for Jasper but in a positive sense. This time, he was smiling.

Reed Whipple Cultural Center has chorus of support

People streamed into the final town hall meeting on Las Vegas’ budget woes to the strains of a Bach aria played by a string ensemble from the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra. They were part of a coordinated pitch to city officials to keep open the Reed Whipple Cultural Center, home to the orchestra and the Rainbow Company Youth Theatre.
