Electric cigarette explodes in Florida man’s mouth

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A faulty battery caused an electronic cigarette to explode in a Florida’s man’s mouth, taking out some of his front teeth and a chunk of his tongue and severely burning his face, fire officials said Wednesday.

Legislators make sale or possession of ‘bath salts’ a felony

Members of the Legislative Commission approved a regulation Wednesday that makes it felony to sell or possess methamphetaminelike synthetic drugs sold in some head shops and convenience stores as “bath salts.” The action made permanent a regulation adopted by the Board of Pharmacy last month to outlaw substances that have led to at least two deaths in Nevada and caused dozens of residents to seek medical attention.
