Here are the 2019 all-league girls basketball teams as selected by coaches.
Areli Ponce had 21 points Wednesday as Virgin Valley’s girls basketball team earned a 42-39 overtime win over host Sunrise Mountain.
Taysia Tovia scored 20 points on Monday as Liberty’s girls basketball team earned a 62-57 double-overtime victory over visiting Green Valley.
Connor Peterson had 14 points Monday to help Palo Verde’s boys basketball team to a 58-56 overtime win over visiting Centennial.
Elise Young and Yesenia Wesley-Nash each scored 16 points to help Cimarron-Memorial’s girls basketball team score a 51-45 home victory over Palo Verde on Thursday.
Anthony Maillaro had 23 points Friday to lead Palo Verde to a 93-89 double-overtime win over visiting Legacy.
Starr Walker scored 22 points Wednesday to help Liberty’s girls basketball team rally for a 55-50 home win over Foothill.
Taylor Etopio scored 17 points, and Faith Lutheran’s girls basketball team went 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in the final four minutes to score a 53-49 overtime victory against visiting Shadow Ridge on Thursday night.
Kadrena Johnson’s basket with five seconds to play Tuesday gave Palo Verde’s girls basketball team a 34-32 home win over Bonanza.
Garin Macfarlane had 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists Tuesday to help Shadow Ridge’s boys basketball team outlast visiting Rancho, 106-97.
Dylan Hushaw poured in 30 points, and Jace Roquemore added 21 points Wednesday to help Foothill’s boys basketball team to an 83-60 win at Green Valley.
The host Gators (6-8) overcame a slow start to score a 50-44 victory over Spanish Springs in the diamond division quarterfinals. They’ll play Dimond (Alaska) on Saturday morning in the semifinals.
The Foothill girls basketball team opened the Gator Winter Classic with a 61-32 win over Silverado in the morning and finished its first day of pool play with a 55-29 victory over Boulder City in the afternoon.
Bishop Gorman jumped on Rancho Christian (California) early and coasted to a 61-39 victory Saturday in the championship game of the Tarkanian Classic.
