Bishop Gorman jumped on Rancho Christian (California) early and coasted to a 61-39 victory Saturday in the championship game of the Tarkanian Classic.
Foothill was able to hang on for a 77-75 boys basketball victory over Timpanogos (Utah) on Saturday in the Tarkanian Classic at Bishop Gorman.
Rayshon Funches and Emmanuel Austin combined to score 22 points in the final 10 minutes as the Longhorns held on for a 68-66 win over Fairmont (California) in the Tarkanian Classic’s Eastbay Division at Faith Lutheran.
The good far outweighed the bad, though, as the Gaels pulled away for a 79-48 win over Lone Peak (Utah) in their Tarkanian Classic opener at Orleans Arena.
Kamari Burnside scored five points in the final 1:30, and his alley-oop to Desert Oasis teammate Jacob Heese with 11 seconds to play sealed the Sunset Region’s 115-110 win over the Sunrise.
