Haakon Hunsaker had four kills to lead Tech’s boys volleyball team past Western 25-19, 19-25, 25-19, 27-25 on Thursday.
Will Hafen had 16 kills and four aces Monday to help Bishop Gorman’s boys volleyball team to a 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16 win over visiting Sierra Vista.
Tyler Buchanan had 25 kills, and Brian Orellana dished out 38 assists to lead Cheyenne’s boys volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-18 win over visiting Tech on Tuesday.
Sho Hampton dished out 57 assists, and Canyon Springs’ boys volleyball team rallied for a 25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 27-25, 15-8 victory over host Eldorado on Wednesday.
Las Vegas High’s Shayne Marquez might not have been the most physically imposing player on the volleyball court this past season.
T.J. Esporas had 23 kills and 12 digs, and Chris Kampshoff added 15 kills and 13 digs to help Las Vegas High’s boys volleyball team outlast visiting Valley 25-19, 21-25, 27-25, 23-25, 15-12 on Thursday.
Cheyenne’s Cory Harris had six kills, 10 assists and four blocks Tuesday to lead the Desert Shields to a 25-14, 25-15, 8-25, 20-25, 15-11 win over visiting Sunrise Mountain in boys volleyball.
