CDC data shows that the county’s test positivity rate is now below the threshold for dropping the mandate, while the rate of cases per 100,000 people continues to decline.
The state reported 1,413 new coronavirus cases and 11 deaths over the preceding day amid another drop in the state’s test positivity rate.
The number of new cases was the highest three-day total since the state halted weekend reporting of COVID-19 data in mid-April.
Nevada reported a high number of new coronavirus cases on Monday, but the figure was likely inflated after the state stopped reporting its COVID-19 metrics over the weekend.
