Faith Lutheran scored twice in the second half to defeat Galena. Coronado avenged its only loss with win over Centennial. Eldorado, Bishop Gorman advance to boys final.
Quincy Bonds scored four goals, and the Centennial girls adavanced to the second round of the 4A state tournament. The Las Vegas boys bounced Coronado 3-0 to move on.
The Durango Fall Classic, a 64-team event with a mix of schools from the valley and others from all over the country, will be played at four schools Friday and Saturday.
The Gaels, the defending Class 4A state champions, defeated Boulder City, the reigning Class 3A champ, 15-25, 25-8, 15-13 in the title match Saturday.

Tech’s Juan Mota scored the game’s only goal in the first half Tuesday to lead the Roadrunners to a 1-0 road win over Chaparral. The victory clinched the Class 3A Sunrise League title for the Roadrunners, their sixth in school history and first since 2012.
Issac Olsen scored two goals, including the game-winner, to help Foothill’s boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Coronado on Wednesday.
Juan Estrada had two goals and an assist, and the Western boys soccer team scored three times in the second half on Thursday to break a 2-2 tie and defeat host Palo Verde, 5-3.
Del Sol’s boys soccer team scored two goals in a four-minute span late in the second half Tuesday to earn a 2-2 home tie with the Chaparral.
Nestor Cruz scored with 12 minutes remaining to break a tie and lead Clarks boys soccer team to a 2-1 win at Spring Valley on Monday.
Carlos Mendez supplied a goal and two assists Tuesday as the Valley boys soccer team held off Liberty at home, 5-4.
Canyon Springs’ boys soccer team scored the go-ahead goal with about seven minutes to play and held on for a 2-1 road win over Foothill on Tuesday afternoon.
