Board President Linda Cavazos discussed the letter from ousted Superintendent Jesus Jara’s lawyer seeking a buyout of more than $2.65 million for the remainder of his contract.
The board voted 4-3 last week to terminate Superintendent Jesus Jara’s contract “for convenience,” meaning they didn’t need to provide a reason. He’ll remain on the job until Dec. 1.
The Clark County School Board will discuss next steps following Superintendent Jesus Jara’s surprise ouster last week at a previously scheduled meeting on Thursday.
