Mojave’s Damon McDowell scored 18 points Friday night to lead the Rattlers to a 55-43 boys basketball victory over visiting Elko.
Anthony Hunter hit a 3-pointer with four seconds to play to give Durango’s boys basketball team a 67-66 road win over Sierra Vista on Friday.
Glenn Taylor had 22 points, 10 rebounds and three steals Wednesday to help host Cheyenne’s boys basketball team battle back for a 53-50 win over Las Vegas.
Milos Uzan’s steal and basket with 18 seconds left broke a 61-61 tie and led the Desert Pines boys basketball team to a 65-61 home win over Eldorado on Tuesday.
Rayshon Funches converted the go-ahead basket with 32 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and teammate Emmanuel Austin added a free throw on the ensuing possession to help Legacy secure a 57-54 victory over Democracy Prep in the tournament championship on Saturday night.
Legacy built a comfortable halftime lead and cruised to a 60-28 victory despite missing a bevy of layups.
Las Vegas topped Desert Pines 58-48 on Thursday night to advance to the Las Vegas Prep Championship final opposite Eldorado.
Jonathan Thomas scored a game-high 23 points to lead Eldorado’s boys basketball team to a 75-65 victory over Santa Fe (Calif.) in theLas Vegas Prep Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
Las Vegas senior guard Donovan Joyner had 23 points in a 73-42 victory over Jefferson (California) in the Las Vegas Prep Championship on Tuesday night.
