Bishop Gorman hosts Coronado and Shadow Ridge plays at Liberty in the Class 5A Division I state semifinals to highlight Friday’s high school football playoff action.
Bishop Gorman rolled to a home win over Coronado to finish the regular season 10-0 and earn the No. 1 seed in the Class 5A Division I playoffs.
Class 5A experienced the biggest changes during the realignment process in the offseason, but one thing remains the same: Bishop Gorman’s dominance.

The Centennial boys claimed their second straight Class 4A state championship, while the Coronado girls earned their second crown in school history.
Daniel Britt threw four touchdown passes and ran for one as the Patriots rolled to the Desert Region semis. Bishop Gorman domainated Coronado 52-7.
