Following Washington’s 36-33 home win over Oregon, the Ducks have won six games by an average of 26 points, while the Huskies have won six by an average of 6.5 points.

Barry Odom isn’t surprised to see his name or the name of his assistants pop up as candidates for coaching vacancies following UNLV’s successful football season.
“Ryan was just one of those guys who put a smile on your face,” former UNLV linebacker Austin Ajiake said of teammate Ryan Keeler, who died Feb. 20 at age 20.
Coach Marcus Arroyo started redshirt sophomore Doug Brumfield at quarterback against Idaho State and he produced, completing 21 of 25 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns.
UNLV’s first six opponents are against teams that competed in bowls last season. The Rebels, though, get a break with two well-placed bye weeks.
UNLV was expected to move into Allegiant Stadium full time next season, but its games against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 5 and Arizona State on Sept. 12 might be played at Sam Boyd Stadium.
