Bishop Gorman hosted Centennial in a Class 5A Mountain League match Monday night. Gorman won in five sets.
Bishop Gorman has won three consecutive girls state volleyball championships and four of the past five in Nevada’s highest classification.
Centennial’s Zoey Bonds won four events at the Class 5A state track and field meet and also was a setter and captain on the volleyball team, which finished second at state.
Bishop Gorman senior setter Caroline Edgeworth was named the Gatorade Nevada Volleyball Player of the Year after leading the Gaels to their third straight state title.
