As the sun set on Sunday evening, hundreds gathered at Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas to celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights.
Local Jewish leaders expressed sympathy Sunday, a day after a deadly shooting at a Pennsylvania synagogue, and said the Jewish community must stand strong and remain proud of their faith.
Ben Lesser spoke to a couple dozen people inside Noa Peri-Jensch’s living room in Summerlin on Wednesday evening. It was one of many such gatherings across the nation for Zikaron BaSalon, Hebrew for “memories in the living room,” to commemorate Holocaust Remembrance Day.
