The 2025 high school football season is just around the corner. Here’s everything you need to know about the Southern Nevada teams in Class 1A, 2A and 3A.
Nevada Preps
Garrett Castro threw a 6-yard touchdown pass, and Hector Barrios-Baez knocked home the game-winning extra point for Green Valley in a 24-23 win over Foothill.
Chaparral’s Dennis Perez make field goals of 24 and 33 yards in the game’s final three minutes, and the Cowboys claimed a 6-3 Southeast League victory over Basic.

Sparked by individual wins from Rome Odunze and Kyu Kelly, the Gaels wrapped up their second consecutive Class 4A title by scoring 99 points.
Centennial ran away with its ninth straight Class 4A team championship. The Bulldogs scored 126 points. Runners-up Carson and Sierra Vista each had 54.
Bonds, who also ran on the winning 400 relay team and finished third in the 100, helped Centennial build a big lead heading into Saturday’s events.

Martin ran the 100-meter dash in a personal-record time of 10.71 seconds on Saturday morning at Desert Oasis to claim the Mountain Region championship and an automatic bid in the state meet next week. The sturdy senior doubled as a running back for Legacy’s football team and said he started preparing for track season after football concluded.
Edmond ran the 100 meters in 11.84 seconds on Saturday at Desert Oasis to secure the Moutain Region championship — and an automatic bid to the Class 4A state meet next week. Teammate Aniya Smith finished second in 12.11, and Centennial’s Quincy Bonds ran 12.16 for third.
Nick Cornman went 3-for-3 to lead Arbor View’s 11-hit attack in a 13-6 home victory over Cimarron-Memorial in a winner’s bracket semifinal Tuesday.
Basic’s junior pitcher was in control from the start, tossing a six-hitter and striking out 10 to help the Wolves to a 7-1 home win over Liberty in the winners’ bracket semifinals of the Desert Region Tournament.
