Two teams from Southern Nevada have claimed the most boys and girls high school basketball state championships in state history.

Centennial, the eight-time defending state champion, will seek to keep its title streak alive without three starters as the high school girls basketball season begins.
The talented girls players on the high school scene are making their mark by setting potentially unbreakable records, two of which belong to UNLV coach Lindy La Rocque.
The incoming Southern California freshman and survivor of a house party shooting has graduated from Spring Valley High School.
